Upcoming lectures

There are two events coming up on campus in the next few weeks that may well be of interest to many of you.

The first is the 2015 Symposium on St. Thomas Aquinas, on Wednesday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rice Commons in the Student Center. Father Brian Davies, O.P. will give a presentation titled “Thomas Aquinas on God and Evil,” with discussion to follow. Click the link above for further information.

The second event will take place on Monday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. in O’Laughlin Auditorium. Michelle Alexander, author of The New Jim Crow, will give a lecture titled “Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness.” More information about the event is available here. The lecture is free, but tickets are required. You can request them from the Moreau Center box office.
